Angling could become a very enjoyable sport that is if you’ve got planty of time in hand and loads of patience. This eco friendly sport is not for those who run out of patience every time they lose a fish or get tired for waiting for their catch! Hardly any anglers round the world have any idea that India makes a wonderful paradise for anglers.

And why not! With the so many rivers, streams there are numerous opportunities available for anglers to opt for sport fishing and angling in India. Beside the coastal areas, the foothill region of the Himalayas in northern states of India and the southern region of Nepal offer numerous opportunities to catch fish especially trout and Mahseer. Whether you’re the type who likes to string a worm onto a makeshift line and catch your own dinner or a thoroughbred professional angler with the latest in fishing tackle- India’s waters, both fresh and salt, can be a pleasant surprise.

Another kind of fishing related activity is Angling that has important methods of conservation. A good, healthy stock of fish is not the only product of the conservation efforts of anglers, waterside plants, insects, birds, mammals and reptiles also get benefit of Eco friendly sport. More of all angling or sport fishing is quiet an easy sport for even a beginner because most of major Indian cities lie along rivers, that’s why these cities become a favourite fishing spot for most of the anglers.

Most of the states in India have also organised Fishing hatcheries, the breeding centres of bothy local and exotic fishes. Fish sanctuaries and hatcheries in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranachal have major flow, and maintain a vast stock of fish, which are specially bred for re-stocking rivers.

Beside those who go to hills ether to relax or enjoy secnic beauty or visiting piligrimage centres, there are others, who just want to enjoy life in an entirely different way. For such people of Himachal Pradesh offers excellent opportunities in the form of fishing and adventure sports. The river Beas and its trbutaries like Tithan, parbati and Gadsa in kull, lambadag in Mandi and Pabbar in Shimla are famous for Torut Variey of Fish Masheer fish is availble in the kangar and bilaspur.

Barot is a picnic spot and also famour for the trout fishing , tourist location in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated 40 km from Jogindernagar and 100 km from Dharamsala and 150 Km from manali. The highway from Dharamsala goes from Palampur to Jogindernagar and 14 Kms after Jogindernagar, we climb up from a place called Ghatasni. The last bit of road is 25 Kms and is a link road going all the way to Barot. Through terraced fields and thick cedar forests, the track rises to Jhatingri, an enchanting spot atop the hill. The remains of the summer palace of the former rulers of Mandi are located here.Through the little village of Tikkan, the road carries on to Barot. The town has a range of outdoor activities. For a start there is a trout breeding centre from where fish are released into the Uhl and there is a 30 km section of the river which is excellent for angling.Barot also forms the gateway to the Nargu Wildlife Sanctuary which lies across the Uhl. The sanctuary is home to the monal, black bear and ghoral. There are two forest rest houses situated in this area as well.Known only to a select band of angling aficionados and some intrepid trekkers, Barot has all the wonderful views, wildlife, adventure and solitude that is rare to find.
Fishing Spots
From Barot, the road goes up to Laharadi and ends there. This is a 5 Km stretch of road that follows the river and on this stretch there are fantastic fishing spots. Our guides will take you to the best spots and provide all assistance and equipment for fishing.
Mix of Village Home Stay and/or Tenting
We provide stay in a village called Swar, 1.5 Km above Loharadi. You have to walk to this village, it takes 30 minutes, and we will stay in an authentic village in the Himalayas.
Facilities – Lavatory (Indian style), running water, local food and beautiful views
Alternatively – If by chance you don’t want to stay here, we can always go down to Barot and book you into a guest house or set up tents for you.

Duration:10 Nights &11 Days
Day 1. Arrive at Delhi ,meet and greet with our representatives and transfer to hotel. In the evening we explore the local market. Overnight we stay in hotel.
Day 2. Next morning, we proceed drive Delhi to Manali ( 12 hours ). On the way we have a luch in the restaurant.On arrival at Manali check in the hotel and relax for the day . Overnight we stay in the hotel.
Day 3. Early in the morning after having breakfast , Pack your lunch, we start fishing tour all the day in haripur nala and also in the Beas river. Overnight we stay in the hotel Manali
Day.4&5 . Next day, early in the morning, we proceed drive Manali to Barot which is( 5 hours) drive from Manail. On arrival at Barot check in the guest house or stay in the tent
On the day five whole day angling in the barot area.
Day.6 Next morning , after having the breakfast , we proceed drive barot to Manikarn valley(6to 7 hours drive). Overnight we stay in the hotel.
Day 7 Early in the morning having breakfast and pack the luch, we proceed to angling in the Parbati river , the whole day angling in Manikarn valley.
Day 8 . After having breakfast , we proceed drive Manikarn to Tirthan valley which famous for trout fishing in Himchal Pradesh. Overnight we stay in the Home stay or in the camp.
Day 9& 10 The whole day angling in the Tirthan river . overnight stay in guset house or in the tent
Day 11. : After breakfast transfer to Airport for flight Bhuter to Delhi for onward journey
